Mildred (Grimes) Carpenter "Shug"

Mildred Grimes Carpenter "Shug" passed away at the age of 88, at her home. She graduated from High School and attended Livingston College.  Mildred was married to the love of her life Jerry Coy Carpenter "Boog" for 63 years.  She and her husband traveled the world due to Jerry being in the Navy.  One place in particular was Sicily.  She attended Three Forks Baptist Church where she played the piano.  Mildred loved sports and one in particular was watching and playing softball. She loved Deer Hunting and Fishing. She killed her first Deer at the age 69. Mildred loved cooking, gardening and canning.  She believed in discipline with a "peach tree limb" where her children had to go and find their own.  Mildred was known as "The Total Woman" and Loved her Sons dearly.

Visitation will be Friday, April 9, 2021, 10:30 AM ~ 11:00 AM at Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Karen Carpenter and Tim Savage officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
