When her children were young, she enjoyed being very involved in their field trips, being a Girls Scouts Leader to Troop 409, and teaching their Sunday school class at Stave Creek Baptist Church. Penny's favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because she loved cooking and gathering with family. Her family has always cherished her coooking, especially her turkey dressing and banana pudding. Penny loved her Bible and the Lord and anyone that knew her knew that she had a big, gracious heart. She was a loving devoted wife, mother and "MeeMaw".
