Regina Hayes Obituary

On Thursday, March 5, 2026, a loving mother was called home to be with our Lord and Savior. Regina Norris Hayes touched many lives throughout her journey, sharing her compassion. Regina was a stellar athlete and remarkably intelligent in her time, earning a reputation as a fierce competitor. She carried that same determination and tenacity throughout her life, always standing tall in defense and protection of her children and grandchildren.
Regina was a fearless protector, never hesitating to face any perceived threat to her family, and her unwavering strength will remain an inspiration to those who knew her.
She brought family and friends together around the table, where she prepared home cooked meals. Regina found profound serenity in the pages of a good book, often escaping into stories that provided both comfort and inspiration. Aside from reading, she also enjoyed watching Westerns, as this was something she and her late husband Travis, the love of her life, did often. Her devotion to family was boundless. She cared for and loved each member beyond measure, offering guidance, support, and affection in every moment. Among the beauty of God's creations, the carnation stood out as Regina's favorite flower, a symbol of her gentle spirit and the love she so generously shared. She was known far and wide for her giving nature, finding true happiness in acts of kindness and generosity toward others. Regina's greatest delight came from spoiling her grandchildren, a role she embraced with both joy and seriousness. She poured her heart into making sure they felt cherished and valued, leaving behind countless memories that will be treasured for generations.
In her absence, Regina's loving family and all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life will feel the deep loss of her presence, but her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever remain in their hearts.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny (Kristy) Hayes, Michael (Holly) Hayes, Kyle Hayes; her daughter, Christy Hayes; and her grandchildren, Brandy Bradfield, Travis Hayes, Tyler Hayes, Megan Howell, Gailynn Miller, Hunter Hayes, Hannah Walker, Cassidy James, Alex Hayes, and Allison Hayes. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Madelyn Hayes, Trevor Hayes, Ella Hayes, Clara Kate Harrell, Arland Hayes, Janie Bell Hayes, Edward Hayes, Brody Howell, Nathan Howell, Barrett Howell, and Riley Miller.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Hayes; her parents, Basil and Jane Norris; her brothers, Danny Norris and Robert Norris; and her grandchild, Arland Trevor Hayes.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at New Prospect Cemetery in Coffeeville, Alabama, at 10:00 A.M. Officiating will be Bro. Brent Fuller, Tyler Hayes, and Travis Hayes.
