Robert Armistead Sheffield, Jr. "Bobby" passed away Sunday September 18, 2022, at Mobile Infirmary surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Jackson High School and was the President of the DO class at Jackson High School. Bobby was married to the love of his life, Wynema, for 58 years. One of Bobby's and Wynema's favorite things to do together was to go to town and grab something to eat and drive down to the Tombigbee boat landing, where they would enjoy their food and watch boats go by. While serving as an active Deacon of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, he assisted in directing music, even though every church hymnal was his favorite, one in particular that was his favorite was "Victory in Jesus" and rarely missed a church service. Bobby and Wynema would travel places with couples from church, one place was to the Mountains. He was a machinist at Weyerhaeuser and retired from there after 39 years. Bobby was a perfectionist so much that when he would plant his vegetable gardens, he would use a tape measure to ensure the lines were straight. He also enjoyed piddling on his tractor. Bobby looked forward to family gatherings, especially on Holidays. Bobby was a loving husband, daddy, Granddaddy and Pops. He will be missed by all.
