Robert Lee Thornton

      Robert Lee Thornton, 82, passed away at his home in Fruitdale , Al. on November 29, 2023. 

     Robert Lee Thornton was born to his parents, Horace and Claudia Thornton on December 26, 1940.

        Mr. Thornton served in the Army and became a logger in his later years.

   Mr. Thornton loved to fish and hunt when he could. He was always working or busy mowing the grass, or getting firewood. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by them, 

Survived by: His wife, Pearl Thornton; his sons, Greg (Shannon) Thornton and Thomas Thornton; his grandchildren, Tabitha (Jake ) Robertson and John David Thornton; his great- grandchildren, Landon Robertson and Haley Robertson.

Preceded in death by: his sons, Robert Mason Thornton and David Bradley Thornton; and his brothers, Lonnie Thornton and Simmie Thornton.

Visitation will be held at Yellow Pine Church of God on December 1, 2023 at 10:00 am, Funeral at 11:00 am, with Bro. Otis Lister officiating, and Interment to follow at Yellow Pine Cemetery.
