Robert Wallace, 92, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. Robert was the 3rd child of 8 children. He lived in Leroy, then later moved to Saraland and lived there for 25 years. Robert was married to the love of his life, Dorothy, for 69 years. He was a 33rd Degree Mason. Robert served his country in the United States Army, and served in World War II and in Germany. Robert worked at Geigy Chemical for a few years then left and moved to Jacksonville, FL to manage a motel. He then came back to Jackson, AL to oversee building Downtowner Motel. Robert later went to work at Olin where he retired. For many years Robert and Mrs. Dorothy ran the concession stand at all the Leroy ballgames. He loved working in his yard, watching old westerns and going to The Smokey Mountains. Most of all Robert enjoyed all his family and grandchildren.

A Graveside Service with Masonic Rites will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021, 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Leroy New Cemetery. Bro. Dave Delegal will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
