Rosetta Thornton Dearmon, 84, passed away on March 15, 2020. She was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Washington County, Alabama. She was the second from the oldest in her family of nine siblings. Rosetta graduated from State Line High School in Mississippi. She earned her Nursing Degree from Jones Community College and she also studied in New Orleans, LA. She enjoyed reading and substitute teaching. Rosetta was a member of First Baptist Church, McIntosh, AL. She always went with her family when they participated in drag races. Rosetta was the kind of grandmother that was active in her children's and grandchildren's sports. She loved family gatherings, flower gardens and "Penny," her dog.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, March 17, 2020, 2:00 PM, at the Thornton Cemetery, State Line, MS. Officiating will be Bro. Keenan Williams and Rev. John Stone with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
