Thomas G. Turner, Jr.

Thomas G. Turner, Jr. passed away Monday, August 9, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and uncle! Tommy was a veteran of the Vietnam era in the United States Army Armored Division. He was an avid fisherman, though I don't know of him ever skinning a fish & cooking it. Always catch and release, he just loved fishing. Anytime he went over to the pond fishing, his posse was trailing behind him, his dogs, the cats and even sometimes the neighbors dogs. He was a long time employee of Brown & Root, though he traveled all over the world with other companies. He's traveled to London, to the Sahara Desert, to Qatar. He is originally from Anchorage, Alaska and migrated to South Alabama where he met Linda and settled in Wagarville, AL and then to Tibbie, AL where spent the remainder of his life. Most of his family resides in Oregon in which occasionally him and Linda traveled to visit with. Over the years Tommy acquired many friends through work, relatives and the community. He will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 12, 2021 11:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church Jackson, Jackson, AL. Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 PM with Bro. Woodie Baughn officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
