Vaughn Howell, Jr., 74, passed away at his home in Leroy, Alabama, on Sunday, June 18, 2023. Born April 13, 1949, to Tollie Vaughn and Zelma Lee Wilson Howell, Vaughn graduated from Clarke County High School and Auburn University through the School of Architecture, Design, and Construction with an emphasis in building construction. This led to his career in construction/carpentry, during which time he also served in the National Guard.

Parents Tollie Vaughn and Zelma Lee Wilson Howell
His first wife Judith Waite Howell

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Old First Baptist Church Leroy Cemetery with Bro. Ben Posey officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
The family offers special thanks to the staff of Washington County Home Health and Legacy Hospice, Louie and Peggy Overstreet, Tom Blount, Jackie Brown, Jackson Reeves, Bill Walker, and the Leroy FBC Adult III Sunday School Class.
