Willie Richard Roberts

Willie Richard Roberts, 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019.  

Richard was born in Goshen, AL on December 7, 1932 to Rosie Lee and Walter Atwood Roberts. Richard and his wife, Rosie, were married on September 1, 1951.  He loved bee keeping in his earlier years and produced many gallons of honey.  Richard was a skilled wood worker and made many beautiful cabinets among countless other items.  He loved the great outdoors and loved raising a beautiful garden to feed his family and share with family and friends.  He enjoyed many cross country adventures with his daughter, Clara.  Richard loved his family and they all loved and thought the world of him.  He is going to be sadly missed by all.

Grandchildren:

Derek Ryser,  Angela Ryser, Richard James Roberts, Olivia Roberts Black, Tom, Cannon, and William Sommerville, and Lisa Johnson

Fifteen Great Grandchildren

Taylor Slayton, Brenden and Nathan Ryser, Tyler Slayton, Eli and Noah Black,    

Bo, Ben, Brian, Will, Cain and Sarah Sommerville, Alex and Annie Johnson

Sister:  Sadie Anderson

Preceded in Death by:

Parents:  Walter Atwood Roberts and Rosie Lee Hicks Roberts

Wife:  Rosie Lea Gates Roberts

Brothers:  Hollis Roberts and Riley Roberts

Sisters:  Bernice Schultz, Martha Martin and Ethel Snodgrass

Russell Snodgrass, Derek Ryser, Tommy Schultz, Floyd Seale, Stacy Seale, Wesley Snodgrass

Visitation will be at Tompkins Baptist Church on Friday, June 28, 2019,

10 ~ 11:00 AM,  followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Officiating will be Bro.
