Yancy Reynolds Obituary

Yancy G. Reynolds
April 26, 1990 - June 4, 2022
Yancy Reynolds, the son of Sammy and Ruth Reynolds fought hard but passed peacefully in the arms of his wife, Olivia, after a courageous fight with cancer. Yancy was influenced by his family to be loving, caring, kind, strong and brave. He loved helping others to the best of his ability and keeping his faith in Christ in everything he did. Yancy met his wife, Olivia, at Sunday School and it was love at first sight. They both knew they were made for each other the moment they spoke. Yancy and Olivia were married April 13, 2019. Yancy always put in the extra effort to do things the right way the first time. Yancy graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree. Yancy worked hard at everything he did and for everything he had. Yancy was a Landscape Foreman for the City of Orange Beach. He was a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. As Yancy would say, "it needed to be done". After Yancy was diagnosed with brain cancer the first time in December of 2005, Yancy stood on this verse "...by His stripes, we are healed ". Yancy went almost 14 years being cancer and tumor free. After Yancy was diagnosed with brain cancer the second time in December of 2021, he never lost his faith or his spirit. Even when confined to a hospital bed for extended periods due to 10 different surgeries from January- March, being on and off the ventilator successfully, Yancy never lost his faith. He would say, "it is what it is and let God's will be done". Olivia pushed Yancy everyday and was his #1 supporter through everything. Yancy knew the Lord was calling him home and he quoted 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith". Yancy's smile would light up every room he entered. If you saw Yancy and his wife together, smiling and holding a beer, you knew they were up to no good but having a good time. Yancy would tell you at the end of the night, "it was good seeing you, be good or be good at it".
